View of Therapy: As a therapist intern I am privileged to provide an opportunity for lower fee clients to join with me in a therapeutic relationship and work toward mental and spiritual health and healing. I believe change most occurs in our lives when we come to a place where our emotional pain makes our current existence no longer tolerable. That is when we are most prone to begin taking responsibility for our lives.
I believe that effective therapy is a joint process between the client and the therapist. This joint process involves examining past attempts to resolve our problems, evaluating what has worked and what has not worked, and searching for new solutions to reach a place of healthy and permanent change. It is my intent to support growth not only in one's relationships and mental outlook but also in one's faith walk whenever the client believes that is important to their full health.
